Small sampler, wool on linen, with a moth-eaten alphabet at the top, symmetrical flowers and trees with birds in them, a basket of roses, and a poem: "The leaves are green the rose is red Here is my work when I am dead." Mary Bradshaw aged 10 years 1843.
