Kleederdragten en Typen der Bewoners van Nederland

P.G. van Lom, Amsterdam. No date.

Small leporello, folded, 15 drawings of people in Dutch traditional costume. Especially nice are the two young orphans walking hand in hand, in the costume of the orphanage in Amsterdam, Burgerweeshuis. The building still exists, with a stone above the entrance depicting the orphans and a verse asking people who enter there, to donate. It now houses the municipal museum of Amsterdam. The Hindeloopen costume is said to date from the 18th century, all others are considered to have 19th century origins.

From the collection of Sytske Wijnsma, not scanned
